this was the first movie i went to see at the french film festival. if you want a good drama art house movie this is the one. this movie is so sad and it makes you think. three sister all so very different, come from a poor family, an a abusive father and a mother who loves her family and will do anything to keep them together.

Dolls and Angels
Based on her own award-winning novel, director Nora Hamdi’s Dolls And Angels is a heart-rending story of sisters from a torn Franco-Arab family, fighting to get out from under the thumb of their abusive father.Fashion-obsessed Chirine (Karina Testa), 18, tomboy Lya (Leïla Bekhti), 16, and young Inès (Dalia Serradj), 7, are three sisters who live in a housing project in the outskirts of Paris.
